U-type ground screw for light timber and metal structures

The U685 series ground screw with an integrated U-profile bracket provides a solid foundation solution for lightweight outdoor structures and enclosures where heavy load-bearing capacities are not required. It is suited for raised garden beds, domestic greenhouses, animal enclosures, garden fencing, and light structural posts.

The U-shaped bracket accommodates both timber beams and metal framework sections. Pre-drilled side holes allow the framework to be fastened at the required level, whilst the bottom aperture accommodates an M12 threaded rod for millimetre-accurate levelling or auxiliary mounting brackets.

Straightforward manual installation

This ground screw can be driven manually without hydraulic machinery. Placing a steel rod or timber spar between the U-shaped uprights creates a lever to drive the screw clockwise directly into the ground.
